Agence de Développement celebrates its 20th anniversary on March 21st !
This will be the opportunity to hear testimonies from businessmen who were supported 20, 10, 5 years—or a few months—ago.
Between 2002 and 2007, the agency provided support for the setting up of 122 projects. 1,350 direct jobs were created (with just as many indirect jobs)
and €127m were invested in new activities in Réunion Island.
FIGRE: the credit insurance specialist celebrates its fifth anniversary
Supported by Agence de Développement, Arnaud de Franssu and Damien de Gail created the FIGRE company in 2003.
First located in the SEMIR company nursery in Le Port, the firm specializes in credit insurance broking. It is an agent
of world leader EULER HERMES SFAC. In Réunion Island as in mainland France, 25% of company failures are due to unpaid bills
or defaulting customers. FIGRE’s success (250 customers in Réunion Island and 150 in Mauritius, where a subsidiary has been set up)
testifies to the needs in this field: in 2007 EULER HERMES SFAC recorded a 28% rise of company failures in Réunion Island,
in line with the high number of newly-created businesses.
